A 1.2kW Universal Input Interleaved CCM PFC Power Board
The PR779 is a 1.2 kW universal input (85 to 270 VRMS) interleaved PFC converter with 390 VDC output. It achieves efficiencies greater than 95% at 115 Vac from 20% to 100% load. Efficiency is greater than 97% for the same load group when input is 230 Vac. Power factor is greater than 0.98 for the same load range and either 115 VAC or 230 VAC input. The design meets current EN61000-3-2 requirements. The design consists of two boards. The main board: PR779: includes the power train components and a daughter board: PR780. The daughter board contains all the necessary control circuitry to drive the power train. The control is based on the UCC28070 continuous current mode interleaved PFC controller.

This project is a complete 350W: high performance: high speed offline power supply solution. It contains a novel: microcontroller-driven synchronous bridge rectifier: a 2-phase interleaved PFC stage and a phase-shifted fullbridge as down converter. It has an universal input (85 .. 265V AC) and the output voltage is adjustable between 12 and 14V. The continuous output current is 25A: the peak current is 27A. A second microcontroller monitors several values (input voltage: PFC voltage: output voltage: output current: temperatures): is the interface to the user (LCD: push-buttons): adjusts the output voltage and synchronizes the switching frequency of all converters.

800-W High efficiency bridgeless Power Factor Correction (PFC) reference design
This reference design is a bridgeless PFC circuit using UCC28070 Interleaving CCM PFC controller to provide 390-V /2-A output from universal AC input. The circuit uses Average Current Mode PWM control with advanced internal current synthesizer for current sensing. This design achieves 96.57% peak efficiency at 115-VAC/60-Hz input and 98.07% peak efficiency at 230-VAC/50-Hz input. The power factor is above 0.994 at full load at 115-VAC and 230-VAC input. The thin height (<25 mm) design makes it suitable for television and appliances application.
