Ultrasonic Flow Transmitter Reference Design
This reference design features an ultrasonic flow transmitter that is able to measure water flow in the large pipes used in the process industry. The reference design can drive four different Piezo transducers with up to 2 MHz ±12-V pulses and amplify the ultrasonic signal received from these up to 50 dB.The reference design leverages the MSP430FR6047 microcontroller (MCU) which offers an integrated Ultrasonic Sensing Solution (USS) module with highspeed ADC-based signal acquisition followed by an optimized digital-signal processing using the integrated Low-Energy Accelerator (LEA) module to deliver a high-accuracy metering solution with ultra-low power.

Wide-Bandwidth and High-Voltage Arbitrary Waveform Generator Front End
This design shows how to use an active interface with the current sink output of the DAC5682Z - typical applications for this include front ends for arbitrary waveform generators. The EVM includes the DAC5682Z for digital-to-analog conversion: an OPA695 to demonstrate an active interface implementation using a wide bandwidth operational amplifier and a THS3091 and THS3095 to showcase an operational amplifier with large voltage swing. Also included on board are a CDCM7005: VCXO and Reference for clock generation: and linear regulators for voltage regulation. Communication to the EVM is accomplished via a USB interface and GUI software.
