  • Sensirion recommends a reflow soldering profile with a peak temperature of 260°C, a dwell time above 220°C of 30-60 seconds, and a cooling rate of 4°C/s or slower.

  • Handle the SHT21 by the edges, avoid touching the sensor opening, and store the device in a clean, dry environment to prevent contamination. Clean the sensor with compressed air or a soft brush if necessary.

  • Keep the pins as short as possible, and maintain a minimum spacing of 0.5 mm between the pins and other components to ensure reliable operation and prevent electrical interference.

  • The SHT21 is calibrated during manufacturing, but you can perform a one-point calibration for temperature and humidity using a reference sensor and the device's built-in calibration registers.
