A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the analog and digital sections separate, and use a common ground point for the analog and digital grounds.
Use a high-quality, low-ESR capacitor (e.g., 10uF) for power decoupling, and place it as close to the device as possible. Ensure the power supply is stable and within the recommended voltage range (2.7V to 5.5V).
The recommended clock frequency is 32.768 kHz, but the device can operate with a clock frequency range of 10 kHz to 100 kHz. However, the accuracy and stability of the clock source will affect the overall performance of the device.
To minimize power consumption, set the device to low-power mode by setting the LP bit in the Control Register. Additionally, reduce the clock frequency, disable unnecessary peripherals, and use a low-power oscillator.
The maximum allowed capacitance for the crystal oscillator is 20pF. Exceeding this value may affect the oscillator's stability and accuracy.
