  • Toshiba provides a recommended PCB layout in their application note (TB454A) which includes guidelines for component placement, routing, and thermal management to ensure optimal performance and minimize EMI.

  • The input capacitor should be selected based on the input voltage ripple, output current, and operating frequency. Additionally, ensure that the output capacitor has a low ESR and is placed close to the regulator. Avoid using long traces and minimize the distance between the input and output capacitors.

  • The dropout voltage of the RN2424 is typically around 1.5V, which means that the input voltage must be at least 1.5V higher than the output voltage to maintain regulation.
