MM3Z39VT1GX Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Nexperia recommends a thermal pad on the bottom of the package, connected to a large copper area on the PCB to dissipate heat efficiently. A minimum of 2oz copper thickness is recommended.

  • Ensure the device is operated within the recommended junction temperature (Tj) range of -40°C to 150°C. Implement proper thermal management, and consider using a heat sink or thermal interface material if necessary.

  • The maximum allowed voltage on the input pins is 5.5V, which is the absolute maximum rating. However, for reliable operation, it's recommended to keep the input voltage within the recommended operating range of 2.7V to 5.5V.

  • The MM3Z39VT1GX is not hermetically sealed, so it's not recommended for use in high-humidity environments. If you must operate in a humid environment, consider using a conformal coating or potting the device to protect it from moisture.

  • Nexperia recommends using a human-body model (HBM) ESD protection of at least 2kV and a machine model (MM) ESD protection of at least 200V. You can use external ESD protection devices or ensure that your PCB design includes adequate ESD protection.
