Intelligent Lighting Controller Measures Ambient Light and Tracks Time
This reference design explains how to design an intelligent lighting controller that senses and measures the ambient light level with an ambient light sensor (ALS). Equipped with a real-time clock (RTC), the controller also knows when to turn lighting on or off at specified times. The system presented in this document can be used to control all luminaires that are mains-supply operated. Controller software is also provided in hex format.

Designing a Temperature-Based Heating System for an Automotive Engine Preheater
This reference design describes how to design hardware for a temperature-based heating system for a vehicle that has an engine preheater installed, based on ambient temperature and a preordained engine start time. This system can also be used for other purposes, such as turning on a storage heater if the ambient temperature falls below a preordained value.
