The maximum input voltage that can be applied to the VIN pin is 18V, but it's recommended to keep it below 15V for optimal performance and to prevent damage to the internal components.
To optimize inductor selection, consider the following factors: inductance value, saturation current, and DC resistance. A good starting point is to choose an inductor with an inductance value between 1.5uH to 3.3uH, and a saturation current rating above the peak current of the converter.
To minimize noise and EMI, follow these PCB layout guidelines: keep the input and output capacitors close to the IC, use a solid ground plane, and keep the high-frequency switching nodes (e.g., LX and SW) away from sensitive analog nodes. Also, use a shielded inductor and orient it to minimize radiation.
The output voltage of the LTC3122EDE can be adjusted by changing the resistor divider network connected to the FB pin. Use the formula: VOUT = 0.8V x (R1 + R2) / R2, where R1 and R2 are the resistors in the divider network.
The maximum ambient temperature range for the LTC3122EDE is -40°C to 125°C. However, the device's performance and reliability may degrade at extreme temperatures, so it's recommended to operate within a range of -20°C to 85°C for optimal performance.
