  • XP Power recommends a PCB layout with a large copper area connected to the module's thermal pad to dissipate heat efficiently. A minimum of 2oz copper thickness is recommended, and the copper area should be connected to a heat sink or a metal plate for further heat dissipation.

  • To ensure reliable start-up and operation with a high-capacitance output filter, XP Power recommends adding a soft-start circuit or a current-limiting circuit to prevent inrush currents from damaging the module. Additionally, the output filter should be designed to minimize the output voltage overshoot during start-up.

  • The maximum allowed input voltage ripple for the JTA2024D02 is 10% of the nominal input voltage. Exceeding this limit may affect the module's reliability and performance.

  • The JTA2024D02 is designed to operate up to 5,000 meters (16,400 feet) above sea level. However, XP Power recommends derating the output power by 1% for every 1,000 meters above 2,000 meters to ensure reliable operation.
