The recommended PCB layout involves placing the CSS-1300MC near the edge of the board, with a thermal pad connected to a large copper area for heat dissipation. Ensure a minimum of 1mm clearance around the component for airflow. A thermal interface material (TIM) can be used to improve heat transfer between the device and the heat sink.
To ensure reliable operation in high-vibration environments, it's recommended to use a secure mounting method, such as screwing or adhesive, to prevent the device from shifting or detaching. Additionally, consider using a vibration-dampening material, like a silicone gel, between the device and the PCB.
The maximum allowable torque for the screw terminals is 0.5 N·m (5 kgf·cm). Exceeding this torque may damage the terminals or the device.
While the CSS-1300MC is designed to operate in a wide temperature range (-40°C to 85°C), it's not recommended for use in humid environments. If operation in humid environments is necessary, consider using a conformal coating or potting the device to protect it from moisture.
The recommended wire size is AWG 18 to AWG 24, and the recommended wire type is a stranded copper wire with a temperature rating of at least 105°C.
