  • The maximum allowable voltage transient for the BA159 is 10 times the rated voltage (1000V) for a duration of 10ms.

  • To ensure reliability, it is recommended to derate the BA159's power dissipation by 2.5mW/°C above 25°C, and to use a heat sink if the ambient temperature exceeds 50°C.
