The maximum junction temperature of the AO3421E is 150°C.
To ensure proper biasing, the AO3421E requires a minimum of 2.5V on the gate-source voltage (Vgs) and a maximum of 10V on the drain-source voltage (Vds).
To minimize thermal resistance, it is recommended to use a thermal pad on the bottom of the package, and to connect it to a large copper area on the PCB. Additionally, use multiple vias to connect the thermal pad to the copper area to reduce thermal resistance.
To protect the AO3421E from overvoltage and overcurrent, it is recommended to use a voltage regulator to regulate the input voltage, and to add overcurrent protection using a fuse or a current sense resistor.
The recommended gate resistor value for the AO3421E is between 10Ω to 100Ω, depending on the specific application and switching frequency.
