  • The maximum junction temperature of the AO3421E is 150°C.

  • To ensure proper biasing, the AO3421E requires a minimum of 2.5V on the gate-source voltage (Vgs) and a maximum of 10V on the drain-source voltage (Vds).

  • To minimize thermal resistance, it is recommended to use a thermal pad on the bottom of the package, and to connect it to a large copper area on the PCB. Additionally, use multiple vias to connect the thermal pad to the copper area to reduce thermal resistance.

  • To protect the AO3421E from overvoltage and overcurrent, it is recommended to use a voltage regulator to regulate the input voltage, and to add overcurrent protection using a fuse or a current sense resistor.

  • The recommended gate resistor value for the AO3421E is between 10Ω to 100Ω, depending on the specific application and switching frequency.
