AD8002ARM Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • To minimize noise and ensure optimal performance, it is recommended to follow a star-grounding scheme, keep the input and output traces short and away from each other, and use a solid ground plane. Additionally, decouple the power supplies with 0.1uF and 10uF capacitors, and use a low-ESR capacitor for the output filter.

  • The output filter components (Rf and Cf) should be chosen based on the desired bandwidth and noise performance. A good starting point is to use Rf = 100-200 ohms and Cf = 10-22nF. The values can be adjusted based on the specific application requirements and simulation results.

  • The AD8002ARM can drive a maximum capacitive load of 100pF. Exceeding this limit may cause instability and oscillations. If a larger capacitive load is required, an isolation resistor or a buffer stage may be necessary.

  • The input bias current of the AD8002ARM can be compensated for by adding a resistor (Rb) in series with the input signal, where Rb = (Vcm - Vref) / Ib, where Vcm is the common-mode voltage, Vref is the reference voltage, and Ib is the input bias current.

  • The recommended power-up sequence for the AD8002ARM is to apply the power supplies (Vcc and Vee) simultaneously, followed by the input signal. This helps to prevent latch-up and ensures proper operation.
