A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate analog ground plane is recommended. Keep the analog and digital grounds separate and connect them at a single point. Use a star topology for the power supply and keep the power traces away from the analog signals.
Calibration involves adjusting the internal DACs to match the sensor's output. Use the on-chip calibration registers to adjust the gain and offset. Refer to the datasheet for the calibration procedure and use the ADI's evaluation board software for guidance.
The maximum frequency of the SPI interface is 20 MHz. To ensure reliable communication, use a clock frequency of 10 MHz or less, and ensure that the SPI clock signal is clean and free of noise. Use a series resistor (e.g., 22 ohms) on the SCK line to reduce ringing.
The internal voltage regulator requires a specific power-up and power-down sequencing to prevent latch-up. Ensure that the AVDD and DVDD supplies are powered up and down simultaneously, and that the AVDD supply is powered up before the DVDD supply.
Use a 10 uF ceramic capacitor in parallel with a 100 nF ceramic capacitor, placed as close as possible to the AVDD and DVDD pins. This configuration helps to filter out noise and ensures stable power supply.
