AD22057R Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate analog ground plane is recommended. Keep the analog and digital grounds separate and connect them at a single point. Use a star-grounding configuration to minimize noise and ensure a clean power supply.

  • Calibrate the AD22057R by applying a known input voltage and adjusting the offset and gain trim pins (TRIM1 and TRIM2) to achieve the desired output. Refer to the datasheet for the recommended calibration procedure.

  • Power up the AD22057R in the following sequence: VCC, AVCC, and then the analog input voltage. This ensures proper initialization and prevents damage to the device.

  • Use a shielded enclosure, keep the AD22057R away from high-frequency sources, and use a low-pass filter on the input signal. Additionally, ensure good PCB layout practices, such as keeping analog and digital traces separate and using a solid ground plane.

  • The maximum allowed input voltage for the AD22057R is ±5.5V. Exceeding this voltage may damage the device.
