  • The recommended layout and placement for the L6564D involves keeping the high-frequency components (e.g., the switching node, the bootstrap capacitor, and the output diode) close to the IC, and using a solid ground plane to reduce EMI.   • The bootstrap capacitor value depends on the switching frequency, output voltage, and the desired voltage ripple. A general rule of thumb is to choose a capacitor with a value between 10nF to 100nF. The datasheet provides a formula to calculate the minimum bootstrap capacitor value.
