BGU7258X Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the RF traces as short as possible and use 50-ohm impedance matching.

  • Use a 50-ohm antenna with a quarter-wavelength monopole or a dipole antenna. Ensure the antenna is matched to the IC's output impedance and is placed at least 10 mm away from other components.

  • The BGU7258X can handle up to 30 dBm (1W) of output power. However, it's recommended to operate at a lower power level to ensure reliability and minimize heat generation.

  • Use a pi-network or a T-network topology for impedance matching. The recommended values for the matching components can be found in the application note or by using a impedance matching tool.

  • The recommended operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C. However, the device can operate up to 125°C, but with reduced performance and reliability.
